Recovery Specialists
Education Recovery Specialists focus on defaulted student loans and individuals who have fallen out of payment programs. The work entails skip tracing to locate the person, initial contact to present options, negotiating appropriate and follow-through to completion. Minimum requirements:

  • 2+ years general work experience dealing with people. Related experience could include debt collection, investigation skills, skip tracing, call center background, sales, loan servicing, finance or banking.
  • Solid negotiation and communication skills; ability to stay calm and control the conversation
  • Internally motivated and goal driven: this is a commission and performance based environment
  • Previous collections experience a plus

Consumer Recovery Specialist
Consumer Recovery Specialists (Consumer Tax / Treasury debt) deal with individuals who owe Federal or State government taxes, fines, fees or loans and negotiate payment in full or pay-off arrangements per client specifications. You could be negotiating with military personnel, small business owners, and individuals with Federal / State personal loans (HUD), etc.

Federal Recovery Specialist
Federal Recovery Specialists (Commercial Tax / Treasury debt) deal with company officials or their representatives regarding large debt (i.e. $10k to several million dollars). You could be negotiating with attorneys, company or finance officers and must be able to navigate through a corporate structure to find the responsible party.

In addition to the general requirements for any Recovery Specialist, the Tax / Treasury positions require people with professional level communication and negotiation skills, previous consumer or commercial collections experience, and the ability to receive Federal Security Clearance
